The Tourism Commission was established under the Economic Development and Labour Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.It is tasked to map out Government's tourism development policy and strategy; to regulate travel agents in Hong Kong; to provide a focal point for liaison with the tourism industry; to enhance co-ordination in developing tourism and to maintain liaison with Mainland authorities and international organisations.

A Symphony of Lights

The Hong Kong Tourism Board is a statutory body.Funded by the Government, it is responsible for marketing and promoting Hong Kong as a travel destination worldwide; taking initiatives to enhance visitors' experience when they arrive; and regularly making recommendations to the Government and other relevant bodies on the range and quality of visitor facilities in Hong Kong.
